The Robert Emmet statue is once again featured on the 42nd annual medallion, with deviation from previous coins. The 2007 medal depicts the Emmet statue standing high on a pedestal, surrounded by trees in St. Stephan's Green, in the heart of Dublin, Ireland.

The statue in Ireland is alleged to be the original one cast by Jerome Conner. The other three in Washington, California, and Emmetsburg were cast from this same mold.

Circling the face side of the coins are the words Robert Emmet, Emmetsburg, IA USA, March 2007, and Roman numeral XLII. Stars and shamrocks are included.

The reverse side remains the same.
