In 2015, come celebrate with us
With the anticipation of Spring, but still in the grip of Winter, the residents of Emmetsburg, Iowa, strive to break the monotony of the long cold season by reliving the customs of their ancestors. Each year, they commemorate the feast of Ireland's patron, St. Patrick, and recall the life of one of Ireland's heroes, Robert Emmet, with a three day St. Patrick's Day celebration, the likes of which are unequaled in all the land!
Join us in 2015 for our spectacular celebration and our wonderful entertainment. This year we have several NEW EVENTS! We start things off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night, March 13th with a bean bag tournament in our HEATED St. Pat's Event Tent, and we begin the next day bright and early with a Chili Cook-off. You, the public get a hand in the voting for the best chili! So come on down between noon and 1:30 p.m. and sample the chili for only $5 and receive a commemorative St. Pat's mug. Not only will there be great food and drink, but we will have LIVE MUSIC, provided by Russ Lachney (Sponsored by Terry and Trudi Snavely). Following "The Gathering of the Clans" at the Fire Hall, there will be more LIVE MUSIC featuring The Langer's Ball Band from St. Paul, MN. They will perform their Irish Music from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the St. Pat's Event Tent.
At Emmetsburg Irish Gifts, you can find many items for that special Celtic someone, including Claddaughs, crosses, plates, shirts, hats, banks, Guinness, jewelry, stationery, and so much more. We have items for baby's first communion, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, even party favors. If it's from Ireland, we probably have it, including the blarney!
